POSITION: High School Guidance and Counselling Counsellor

Shree Cutch Satsang Swaminarayan Academy is a nonprofit educational institution located in Langata, Nairobi County, Kenya. The academy is dedicated to providing affordable and quality education to students aged 3 to 20. It offers an international-level curriculum across Nursery, Primary, Secondary sections, and College (BTEC) including junior and senior high school programs. The school collaborates closely with parents, teachers, and other professionals to support the holistic needs of every child and foster their growth and learning journey.
Role Description
The counsellor will be responsible for providing student guidance and support on academic, social, and emotional issues. Day-to-day tasks include one-on-one and group counselling sessions, assisting students with career planning and decision-making, and working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to promote student well-being and development.
Qualifications and Requirements.
- Must be registered with the Counsellors and Psychologist (C&P) Board.
- At least two years Expertise in Student Counselling and Career Counselling in a high school setting.
- Skills and experience in Counselling and Psychology
- Background in Education and a strong ability to engage with diverse student needs
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a school environment with parents, teachers, and professionals
- Relevant degree in Counselling, Psychology, Guidance and Counselling, or a related field
